The SciTech Law Section presents a three-hour, lab-style workshop giving you hands-on experience with AI tools, legal technology, and cybersecurity practices directly relevant to modern legal work. Bring your laptop and engage in interactive exercises across three sessions. The program is accessible at all technology experience levels.

What you’ll learn:
- Apply prompt engineering fundamentals to craft effective AI queries and critically evaluate AI-generated legal work product for accuracy, bias, safety, and professional standards.
- Use vibe coding tools to build simple legal workflow automations and assess the ethical obligations and competency duties that apply when lawyers leverage AI coding assistance.
- Identify cybersecurity threats and data privacy risks associated with AI platforms and implement baseline security measures to protect client information and fulfill duties of confidentiality.
- Evaluate AI governance frameworks and other dimensions of integrating AI tools into a sustainable legal practice.
